don’t worry your stylist will not say a thing to you as a hairdresser we know you have loyalty and it is great but all of use need a break and a second opinion is a good idea But if I where you I would not go back to the assistant she should of never asked you who your current stylist was in my book that is a rule breaker if she wanted to gain you as a client she should of kept it about you and your hair not the other hairdresser and if you are not comfortable with either of them I would suggest keep trying other hairstylist until you find one that fits for you and by the way if your hairdresser say’s anything to you then she is not profession either good luck and don’t worry you did nothing wrong you are not married to you hairdresser you did the right thing
