Do hedgehogs smell or how noisy are hedgehogs?
As with all animals, hedgehog poop does smell but they are relatively odour free in general providing you spot clean on a daily basis, their wheels tend to need washing on a daily basis as they can generate lots of poop whilst running in a night!! They can also poop and pee on you also during handling – especially as babies until they learn to hold it, some hedgies will never learnt his. With regards to noise levels … some wheels are more silent than others but if you are a light sleeper then you will hear them – they can crunch biscuits rather loudly also!!
