Do I need a Dig Safe Inspection or builiding permit before my tent is installed?

Yes, in accordance with State law, Dig Safe inspections are required for all tented events. Party Cape Cod will facilitate the inspection. All we ask of our client is to accurately mark the area for inspection with white markers/stakes. Party Cape Cod will call you two weeks before your function to ensure that your stakes are in place. Our staff will then contact Dig Safe to schedule your inspection. Dig Safe requires 3 business days to notify all the utility companies to check your property. Therefore, please leave the markers up for 3-5 days. Obtaining a building permit is at the descretion of the client. Massachusetts state code requires a permit for all tent installations. We will provide a certificate of Flame Resistance but it is your responsibility to take it to the local building department to obtain a permit. Party Cape Cod is aware that there are certain circumstances requiring special attention (such as rental property restrictions). If you know that you will have trouble me
