Do I need to apply for a Provisional Driving License?

The answers so far are nearly right. You require a category B Provisional Licence to learn to drive a car. Check out your licence because you may have this on there, although I expect it will be only a Cat A Bike Licence. You will then need to reapply to have a Cat B added. And Yes you have to pay for it. Don’t let my fellow ADI’s Biker experience put you off. I have taught many bikers to drive. Pro’s – Excellent awareness, and road understanding. Con’s – Tend to hug the middle of the road, WAY too fast in to junctions, and struggle with a different approach to gears. But with a decent Instructor beside you the benefits from on the road experience FAR out way any issues. Good luck, and check out my FREE Theory Test Download, Taking out a Learner, and soon to come Converting from Bike to car!!! See the website for details.
