Do I need to have journalism experience to submit a news story/ Informative Qpod or other news related content?
No — we want anybody who wants too and can produce a news feature to submit their content. We want news related content that is interesting and exciting, the days of 5’ o clock type news are over and not relevant to our audience’s appeal. News related content can have opinions as along as the opposing issues is mentioned. We want off beat stories, news that might not get into the mainstream media or news that you think should be covered in the mainstream media. If you are submitting the video from a campus news program make sure you have the permission to submit it. Just keep in mind any news related content will have to still have to follow our general criteria and maintain good journalistic principle and ethics. See EMQ code of ethics.
