Do LOCCITANE deodorants contain aluminium salts?
L’OCCITANE uses aluminium salts as well as essential oils in two of its roll-on deodorants: the Aromachologie and L’Occitan roll-ons. A recent study by a group of expert oncologists (published in September 2008 in the Bulletin du Cancer journal) refuted the hypothesis raised in recent years of a link between the aluminium salts in deodorants and breast cancer. But we also offer alternatives without active aluminium salts, such as the Stick déodorant des Baux and the Pierre d’alum, which is made of natural, chemically inert crystalline powder. The Pierre de Cristal de L’OCCITANE, a 100% alum stone with astringent and purifying properties, acts like a natural deodorant.
