Message comprehension is critical for an ad to be effective. Because of this, NCM does not recommend placing a map on your ad. Maps are often illegible when projected on-screen because text and graphic images are small and illustrations are too detailed. Remember, each ad appears on-screen for 10 – 15 seconds. It is in the clients best interest to allow the audience enough time to comprehend the advertising message, and not spend the duration trying to read the map.
