Do most work places offer free Anger Management classes?
Many companies may request an employee take an anger management course, but few will pay for it or offer one for free. It’s a shame it’s not included as part of mental health coverage on health care insurance. If you are addicted to something you’re covered. Uncontrolled anger is usually a low self esteem issue. If you don’t like yourself it’s highly unlikely you’ll like anybody else. What amazes me is how many of these people actually end up in management positions.
Most companies do not provide anger management for its’ employees. Anger Management is not well understood nor well researched. However, many Fortune 500 companies contract with Certified Anger Management Facilitators to provide Anger Management and Executive Coaching.
The U.S. Postal Service finally addressed the issue of "going postal" problem by providing free Anger Management Classes in-house, free and on the clock. This has saved the Postal Services Millions of dollars in workplace violence litigation and an increase in productivity.
Hospitals are now mandating Coaching for "disruptive physicians" and anger management for ancillary and line staff with great success.
