Beginning the week of Aug 26th, 2002, most airlines have applied new rules for determining the value of unused non-refundable tickets. For most carriers, the face value of a completely unused non-refundable ticket can be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket on the same airline for up to one year as long as the change is made on or before the departure time of the first ticketed flight. Unused partial non-refundable tickets have no value for future purchases or exchange once the flight dates have past. If you purchased a Lowest Rates Guaranteed fare, it has no credit value towards any future purchase and cannot be refunded. Please contact our customer care center at 1-800-297-2977 (or 210-582-2716 if you are calling from outside the United States and Canada) to determine the value of your ticket. Be sure to supply your trip ID or ticket number. If your ticket can be used as a credit: Keep your (paper) ticket. (If you lose your paper ticket the airline will charge you a lost tick

Partially used tickets usually do not have any value, but you may contact your airline directly as each airline has a different policy. Your unused ticket has no value under the circumstance where the traveler does not show on time to catch his flight. Hence, there is no left over value from the ticket. If the flight has been cancelled before departure, please get in touch with the issuing airline and re-book your new flight following your airlines rules and restrictions. For further information on your airlines policy, please contact the airline directly. For your convenience you may check the required airlines phone number here.
