I’m not from New York but I’m sure they do. It’s like any crosstown rival. Dodger fans hate Angel fans even though both teams are in Southern California.

Mets fans hate everybody. They hate Phillies fans probably most of all. Actually I think they hate each other.

Most of the time, they do. Yankee fans hate the Mets as well. However, there is a lot of loyalty to New York. So, if it comes down to either the Yanks or the Mets in a Series, most fans will root for them no matter what side they fall on.
