Do pesticides control fruit flies?
Pesticides will kill fruit flies, but best and quickest control comes from cleaning and sanitation. Fruit flies multiply very quickly and breed in well hidden spots. Often, pesticide applications are ineffective in the moist environment best suited for fruit flies. Sometimes, simply washing the surfaces where you see the largest number of fruit flies will do much to eliminate their populations. Saves you money, too!
