Do the Girls Play Separate Yardages in Invitationals?

0

No, because the AJGA awards performance based entry to girls age 12-18. This is why they play the same yardages. TJGT will present awards in each division in any non-invitational tournament as well as points for All-Tour Teams & Player of the Year awards. Therefore, the younger girls (12-15) playing the same yardages will always have the opportunity to win an AJGA exemption or Performance star if the have the lowest score overall. For example, a younger girl shoots the lowest overall score to win her 12-15 division and her total score is the lowest of the 16-18 division, she would receive the AJGA Open Exemption for Girls 12-18 and the champion award for Girls 12-15. The lowest three scores within the Girls 16-18 division will receive awards as well but the champion might not earn the AJGA exemption because her score was not the overall lowest of all the girls. This policy is generated as a result of the AJGA PBE award.
