The modification does utilize the same connections as the Color Field ID pulse used to assist in color framing operations. Once modified, the Color Field ID pulse may not be used in the TLC. Since this pulse is generally needed for composite video editing and less editing of this type is done, there should be little compromise of the TLC. The TLC will properly color frame edit without the use of this signal.
