Do they want the home pages for each page to be fairly consistent, with a bit more flexibility/originality for “inside” pages?
The district’s main website has a “gateway” page for each school. These “gateway” pages were designed to provide a consistant looking page for each school with general information, a picture of the school’s facilities, and a place to link to each school’s individual website. This way, each school has an equal representation on the district’s website, and viewers are prepared to “leave” the district’s website and visit the school’s individual website. For this reason, how you design your website is your decision. We encourage you to be as creative as you would like! Three things you should have on your home (or index) page: your school’s name, your school’s basic contact information, and a link back to the District’s website (www.kershaw.k12.sc.us). There are some Suggested Web Design Guidelines that will give you some good design tips.
