When dealing with all three building systems, an approved software program must be used to demonstrate compliance. The approved software will be posted to http://www.eere.energy.gov/buildings/info/qualified_software/. In the case of Interior Lighting, there are Interim Rules that are included in the EPACT 2005 legislation and use of an approved software program is not required. This is per the Department of Energy (DOE).
