and NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO THE SCREEN OF THE COMPUTER. I don’t do it too often, but I can be so confident that what I am typing is correct that I can be looking around the room, partially taking part in a bit of a conversation, or just thinking about something else. So, it becomes my problem mainly when I am multitasking. Actually, it is really easy to fix in Word 2007 – all you have to do is to block the paragraph and change it to sentence case. I don’t remember if there was a fix in previous editions of word, and I type fast enough without looking most of the time that to make typos or all caps is only a minor nuissance. I learned to touch type when I was 8. My father taught me in 1 week. I don’t know how long it takes when you are older – but it may be worth your time to learn. Then, retyping anything is not so horrific. Good luck!
