It provides a safe and effective process for handling patient referrals to Barts and the London NHS Trust for MDM review, diagnostics, and/ or treatment. What are the benefits of using the SPoR service? A rapid response to receipting a tertiary cancer referral, enabling the following on the same day as receiving the referral; • Register patients on PAS / EPR • Scan / upload all referral information received onto EPR (to ensure available to Barts and The London clinicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) • Instant upload of images onto the Barts and The London PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) • Log patients onto the Cancer Pathway System (CPS) for proactive tracking • Inform clinical teams of new referrals for clinical review and action (same day) • Cover protocols implemented to
