To a person that comes from a relatively poorly paid workforce, the streets of Britain are paved with gold. Where there is a country with no help and benefits, Britain is certainly the place to come. So the chances of this slowing down immigration are nil. As to whether there will be a populist movement by the indigenous population just because Prince Charles calls his mate Sooty (as indeed my Black mate is called chalky, by mutual humour); I believe there is no chance. As to whether the youth will rise up as one and start calling Pakistani people ‘Paki’ (they already do in many parts of Britain), I seriously doubt it. The worst and most serious racialism appears to be the immigrant interracial mix. Some Black people call Asian ”Monkeys” and vise versa. The tolerance between Indian and Pakistanis is virtually nil and vise versa. I like the twee way you say ”allegedly” racist, almost as if you gain a frisson on malice from the intimation. Many people here in Britain are racist anyway (especially the inbred elite themselves) that never stopped people from trying to survive under any circumstances.
