Other states may vary in their requirements, but in Florida, the scope of inspections to limited to termites, carpenter bees, and certain wood-boring beetles. Carpenter ants are excluded in Florida as they don’t destroy (eat) new wood. They nest only in old, rotten, or damaged wood.
