Does affirmative action apply for the selection of National Delegates at the CD level?
The only affirmative action that applies will be an equal number of male and female delegates. So, our 7 Obama delegates will be divided into 4 female, 3 male, and 1 male alternate. While it is certainly encouraged by the State Democratic Party to support traditionally underrespresented groups at the CD level, it is not mandated until the remaining At-Large National Delegates are selected at the State Convention.
