Does any no the link between ghost in the shell films and the SERIES?
The original movies, which are ghost in the shell and ghost in the shell 2 innocence, and the T.V. series ghost in the shell stand alone complex have no connection other than the same story and characters. Notice I said the same story not the same storyline. Ghost in the shell stand alone complex was made for a newer audience where as the movies (with the exception of the solid state society which goes with the stand alone complex series) was made mostly from the manga.
