Does anybody have any information on Paralegals?

Who told you that paralegals can make over $100k/year?? That is absurd! I know paralegals who have over 25 years of experience and they are topped out at $75k/year (and they work in large metropolitan offices in Phoenix, AZ). Paralegals don’t make a huge amount of money. If that is your motive you should consider a different career. Paralegal is a tough job. Attorneys are jerks, especially to work for. The days are long and you don’t get much time off. You have to deal with Court staff that are so rude and couriers that are incompetent. It is a highly stressful job. Plus, even with your BA in sociology and a certificate in paralegal studies, you wont’ be qualified for a paralegal job. You need some legal experience. So if you are serious about this, I suggest getting an entry level position in a law office (clerk, receptionist, or secretary) now to start building your legal experience.
