Does anyone know any songs with deeper meanings?
It all depends upon how the meaning of the song “moves” you. How it suits your personal preference and genre. Also, it matters what will affect what you fell in your heart and mind. A true music lover will listen to the melody, the instrumentals, and the artists’ voice. A case in point for me involves two singers. One is Sara Mclachan, the other is Brandi Carlile. They are on opposite sides of the spectrum regarding styles. However, they do meet somewhat in the middle when it comes to putting across the meaning of the lyrics. The purity and beauty of their voices is enough to send the message. Of course, “Angel” by Sara Mclachan is well known. “The Story” by Brandi Carlile is truly worth listening to. They both are love songs. One says “Love the one you can”, the other says “Love the one you should”. To me, that is a pretty doggone reason to feel any deeper meanings.
