Does anyone know the correct name of a shrub that has a very strong lavender fragrance?
but the woody stems it develops and that it has some shrub-like habits of growth (especially when well established) make some folks stick it into the shrub category arbitrarily. I love the stuff. My neighbor has a huge and very well established clump–in the summer, when the breeze is from her direction, I can smell it from across the street. Her’s is untrimmed, has been in place for years, and is extremely “shrub-like”–the shoots are two feet or so long, and the stems very fibrous and tough.
