Does anyone know the negatives of buying student airfare?
I can’t think of any, except the possibility of paying too much. Student airfares are sold by some European airlines, and in North America there are agencies like STA Travel, Student Universe, and Travel Cuts that specialise in these type tickets for students and “youth” under 25 years old. They usually allow changes to travel dates for $25 to $75, compared to all other tickets which normally cost $150-$200 to change a travel date. Student tickets are often cheaper, but not always.
