Yes, cat flu can be fatal in cats, especially in young kittens. It is a viral infection. Symptoms include: + watery eyes/discharge from eyes + runny nose – either clear or snotty + sores in mouth + sneezing + loss of appetite (from not being able to smell their food) + open-mouth breathing Cats can be carriers of cat flu without showing symptoms, and can pass it on to their kittens. Therefore it may be possible for your kittens to have it even though they haven’t been around other cats – they could’ve caught it from their mother. Do get veterinary treatment ASAP.
