Does anyone know where I can buy outback style damper or bushman honey wheat bread?
I doubt you can buy damper because it’s so easy to make. You need: 1 handful of self-raising flour 1 egg 1 teaspoon of sugar Add fruit or nuts to taste (I prefer some dried fruit). Mix it all together – add milk if you need it, but the egg should be enough, so it’s the consistency of bread dough. The either cook it on a non-stick pan if you’re out in the field (put it on the edge of the fire, in the embers – NOT in the middle) or you could bake it in the oven. Keep an eye on it – when it’s golden brown on top it’s probably done. It’s that simple. Enjoy.
