Does anyone know where I can have repaired a mechanical antique doll ?
WOW – that truly sounds like a “cool” doll, INDEED. I really wish I could help you dear, but I’m afraid the only dolls I’ve ever been lucky enough to get my hands on have always been made of flesh and blood and not plastic! … Although, come to think of it, some of them did subject themselves to a battery of plastic surgeries (including plastic butt, cheek, etc., implants) just to improve their antique “mechanisms”! 🙂 🙂 🙂 P.S. But seriously, my suggestion would be (and I’m shooting in the dark here), if anyone can help you, it would probably be a competent watchmaker/repairer (i.e. someone who is experienced with delicate mechanisms and mechanical gadgets). And if that did not work, try and contact someone at Athens University (Departments of Mechanical, Robotics, or even Electrical engineering) and ask them for help and/or suggestions. I am sure if you’ll be sweet about it, they might just be intrigued enough by the antique doll and your charm to be willing to help you out for
