Something has to be done about global warming (ouch). However, I feel that the approach that the government are taking is a rather lazy and greedy way of dealing with it. It’s completely short sighted. We need fuel to function. By trying to force the country to grind to a halt, they are adding another burden on a weak economy. I think that people prefer to express their anger at the ballot box in this country. Quite apart from anything else, I couldn’t afford the expense of visiting a refinery to blockade it. It is a total joke that our fuel is about 3 times the cost of fuel in the USA and they are furious about the cost of theirs. Edit. Haz. I know what you’re saying, but some of us actually have to struggle hard to keep a car on the road. There’s just no viable alternative here. These things impact more on rural (or semi-rural) communities. When we lived in the city, we had no car, but in order to get and keep a job round here, a car is an evil necessity. Thanks Haz.
