Does Arnold, our man in California, reflect the true Republican attitude? No Arnold is unlike the average republican politician. He does not have the power that he should have. California is also unlike other places, in that it has crazy laws and the worst government in the western world. It allowed itself to get ripped off by Enron in a massive electricity fraud. It passed laws that prevent it from raising taxes so it will go bankrupt. It spends money of absurd things.
