Does exploring space has a downside?
Exploring space is very expensive, and risky to men and women who participate in flights involving people. It is often argued that the amount of money spent on space exploration could be better served to help feed the hungry, house the homeless, or other causes. The argument is that we should not be interested in discovering other worlds while there is still suffering on our own.
