Does fwknop have a small OS footprint?
Even though the main fwknop daemon is written in perl, the footprint it has on the underlying operating system is quite small since fwknop spends most of its time sleeping and (depending on the chosen authentication mode) only uses the CPU when there are packets to process. On my home system (PIII 700, 750MB) fwknop consistently runs at 0% CPU and 0.4% memory utilization.
