Does givit a homeless person change count as zakat?
Salam.Zakat should be distributed into 8 groups of persons as stated in the Qur’an surah At Taubah verse 60 among others are the very poor persons (faqir) who have no job and no homes,poor persons who have job but their income is not enough for their basic daily needs,persons in their journey in line with the right path but have finished their money and persons who make their effort in maintaining Islam such as ustadzs or islamic religion teacher.You can give your zakat to a committee or directly to the related persons but especially poor muslims.You should say it as niyyat at least on your heart as zakat.Zakat has certain computation at least 2.50% of your salary.
