Does health insurance cover diagnostic charges like X- ray, MRI or ultrasound ?
Depending on the Health Insurance, it will covers all diagnostic test like X- ray, MRI, bloodtests etc as long they are associated with the patients stay in thehospital for at least one night. Any diagnostic tests which have beenprescribed in the OPD are generally not covered. HMO plans are more likely to cover test before the deductible and if they are not part of the hospital stay, if they are authorized by your Primary care physician.
