Does iTunes (9.1) install and run properly on Windows Server 2003?

I just wondered if Apple finally fixed the problems iTunes 9 was having with this OS. I know Server 2003 isn’t officially supported but for all intents and purposes it is XP with a slightly upgraded kernel. There’s no reason why iTunes shouldn’t run on it, however previous versions of iTunes 9 needed some hacks made to the MSI installer to actually get it to install. But doing that wasn’t enough as iPodService.exe wouldn’t run at all because from what I’ve read, there was some sort of bug causing it to misidentify Windows Server 2003 as Vista or Windows 7 and it was calling functions from Rundll that only exist in those versions of the OS, resulting in it crashing.
