Does kerosene (jet fuel) ignite in the presence of a spark in room temperature?

What the gentleman who already attempted to answer this failed to mention is that kerosene comes in different grades and in fact jet fuel is technically grade A-1 Kerosene. So kerosene is in fact jet fuel, but like he says though it is quite flammable while it does require a decent amount of heat kerosene can in fact combust in some rather low pressure situations (>1 Atm) jet engines do create the high temperatures and pressures neccesary to accomplish the most efficient combustion. To answer your question though, unless your floor is covered with a ton of kerosene and you got fumes to the floor, a spark alone will not make it explode.

Kerosene and jet fuel are not the same. Kerosene is more closely compared to diesel fuel, which will not ignite with a spark. It requires large amounts of heat, as well as being compressed with air to burn.
