Medicare does not include a walk in bathtub or handicap tub on thier list of Durable Medical Equipment; however, Medicare does from time to time pay for a walk in bathtub. You will need to obtain a doctor’s prescription and be prepared to pay for the full purchase and installation out of pocket and then submit receipts for reimbursement.
