Does Merryvale utilize a specified physician?
No. Each resident utilizes the physician of their choice. “Doctor Days” transportation to local physicians are Tuesday and Wednesday of each week. A family member is encouraged to go with the resident if supervision is needed. A local podiatrist visits Merryvale on a quarterly basis to evaluate and trim nails. A dentist also visits the facility every six months and performs on site treatment.
