Open ESB includes a JBI-compliant [BPEL service engine|https://open-esb.dev.java.net/BPELSE.html] which is WS-BPEL 2.0 compliant. In addition to this, Open ESB’s loosely coupled architecture will support plugging in multiple third-party BPEL language implementations, compliant with the JBI specification, from a variety of vendors.
