Indeed, aluminium chlorohydrate – the most common active in antiperspirants – is classed “Category 1 Ingredient: Safe and Effective” by the USA FDA. Oriflame Cosmetics develops a number of “aluminium-free” deodorant body sprays and deodorant sticks, which contain antimicrobial agents such as triethyl citrate.
