Does the CSM support Active/Active Redundancy?

A. No, the CSM only support Active/Standby mode currently. When considering redundancy, you have to take into account whether or not you wish to have complete connection redundancy. Since the CSM supports full connection redundancy, the “passive” system will completely take over for in-progress connections when the failover occurs. (If configured to do so) If you are performing complete connection redundancy in an active-active scenario, you will not be gaining any significant advantage over active-standby, since each connection has to exist twice (once in the active unit for the connection, once in the backup unit for the connection) Thus, no matter how you set it up, you will have 1M connections active, 1M connections backup. You cannot have 2M active connections in an active-active scenario when performing connection redundancy.
