Does the department help with the cost of Part D prescription drug co-pays?

0

The department pays Part D co-pay expenses for clients eligible for CN or MN coverage. Therefore, any prescription drug co-pays incurred after Medicaid coverage approval aren’t allowed towards any future spenddown liability. Since the pharmacies bill the department directly for these expenses, the client isn’t responsible for these charges. Do allow Part D co-pay expenses incurred by the client prior to MN approval as an allowable spenddown expense. I f a client has unpaid Part D co-pays incurred after Medicaid approval, refer them back to their pharmacist to bill the department for these expenses. For more information about this program, see WAC 388-517-0500.
