Does the dialer provide any support for giving promos to newly signed subscribers?
Yes it does! Most companies would like to give a small promo bonus to any new subscribers so that they can test the service before paying anything. The problem with such promos is that they are misused thoroughly with the same user signing up multiple times with different logins. To combat this problem, AdvancedDialer sends the systems’ network card’s MAC address. This is a unique ID for each system in the world if it has a network card (most systems do). At each signup, the dialer informs your web application about this unique ID and the web application can give bonus to first time users and decline to other users if they are using the same machine.
