Does the Interreality.org VOS have anything to do with Microsoft .NET?

No. Part of Microsoft .NET, the Common Language Runtime (CLR) contains a subsystem called the “virtual object system” but this is entirely unrelated to our work. We regret the name collision but when the VOS was conceived (spring of 2001) the .NET technology was not yet established.
