Does the leader of Eastern Mennonite University wear unusual clothes like the Amish?
Not like the Amish. And what he wears will depend on his sect, to some extend. But in general, Mennonites range from Old-Order Mennonites (the men dress very conservatively and wear hats, the women always wear dresses and head coverings, but less intrusively different ones than Amish women), through Black Bumper Mennonites (They can have cars or trucks, but the cars are always ALL black, including the bumpers) to regular Mennonites, who dress like everyone else, although in general, conservatively (ie–not sexy, generally). But as President of Eastern Mennonite University, he’d dress like a university president, and he wouldn’t be old order mennonite. Sources: I live in a high-population Amish and Mennonite area.
