Does the M3 adapter have a “Random Play” feature?
Yes. The M3 Adapter’s Music function, it’s built in Moonshell, and MoonShell itself can all play audio files on random play, but the M3 Adapter’s Music function will only play GBS sound files (which are bad quality and are larger than MP3’s if converted at 8:1). MoonShell’s shuffle is very rudimentary, and it will sometimes play the same song 3 times in a row. The program does not check to see whether the next random song is the same one. The built-in song player in the M3 Adapter is one step up in that it does not play the same song again when on random, but it still might play the same song after it’s played one song in between, i.e. song 1, song 2, then back to song 1 again.
