Does the new Sony Bravia 46″ XBR LCD/LED Image Burn?

LCDs don’t “burn in” the way CRT and plasma televisions can, but they can suffer from image persistence, which is analogous to burn-in. If the same thing is displayed on the screen for a long time, it is possible that the liquid crystals won’t fully untwist when the image is changed, and you see a faint outline of whatever was on the screen before. As a matter of fact, the LCD monitor I’m using right now (it’s not mine) has suffered from static image persistence as someone left it on the sign-in screen all night and there’s no screen saver set.
