Does the SpeechEasy fluency device slow down my rate of speech?

0

The use of DAF with people who stutter has been around for 50 years; but in the early days, long delays of 200 ms and higher induced slower speaking rates which were thought to be responsible for the higher fluency levels attained. Since then it has been found that DAF enhances fluency at much smaller delays (50 – 100 ms), and even at delays as minimal as 25 ms, without a decrease in speech rate. Furthermore, DAF has been shown to enhance fluency even when speaking at fast rates. (Please refer to the Links/References section of the website.) BACK TO TOP 1.
