Does the Star of David bear a resemblance to the Hindu Shiva and Shakti symbols? ?

I’m not familiar with the Hindu symbols, but there are a couple of explanations if they are similar. One is, the Star of David is a fairly easy design. If a little kid, who never saw one sits down and draws a star, chances are it still might look something like the Star of David. 2. There were trade routes throughout India and the MidEast in Ancient times. Traders from India might never have gotten to Israel, or vice versa, but ideas and things from those places could have gotten to the other place. I doubt if Jewish people would have adapted a religious symbol if they knew what it meant, but if they did not know it and liked it they might have.
