Does the videoconferencing client have automatic gain control to optimize volume on inputs and reduce background noise?

Most desktop videoconferencing clients require the end user to manually set the volume on the incoming call. In a point-to-point call, this isn’t usually too cumbersome since you are dealing with one person at one volume level. In a multipoint videoconference, it would be desirable for the MCU to do automatic gain control or volume leveling across the callers.
